“We took two groups of middle school culinary camp students to Spice Field Kitchen. The trip was fantastic! Each visit was customized to the students’ interest and prior knowledge. Steve did an incredible job engaging students with questions, samples of products, and fun stories. He was respectful of and entertaining to a wide range of students we had with us. The students left the trip with new vegetables and herbs they liked and a huge breadth of knowledge about what farming is all about and why it is so important. In an age where most lunch boxes are filled with packaged foods, this trip is so valuable. This experience is one that is tough to replicate, and one worth every penny. Can’t wait to go again!”

I currently have two kids in the 1st grade STEM program at Pleasant Valley. We just had the pleasure of coming to Spice Acres for a field trip. It was hands down the best field trip I’ve ever been on. The staff was amazing, engaging, passionate and so inspiring! The grounds are absolutely beautiful and have such a peaceful energy surrounding them. We literally used every single one of our senses during the culinary demonstration! And my kids both ate a plate full of KALE…food is truly magical :)

Thank you for an awesome field trip yesterday! Everyone had such a nice day and the kids and adults both learned a lot. My daughter even asked if we could play a game where I make new, healthy foods and she samples it and says what it needs, like they did with Chef Ben! It was really sweet to see how great you guys are with the kids and in a genuine, fun way.
